UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON BUSINESS SCHOOL
UEL's Business School is both a provider of business and management education and a major player in the economic regeneration of East London. This, together with their experience, close links with local, national and international businesses, and ideal location at the heart of the rapidly growing Thames Gateway region, enables UEL to deliver programmes that offer real relevance to today's fast-moving business world. UEL have a 70-strong academic staff team and excellent administrative support. Their School has grown in recent years to over 3,500 students from 100 nationalities, and they are proud of its' diverse global community.

In keeping with development of the region, UEL is committed to developing innovative programmes, such as their new Masters degrees in the areas of entrepreneurship, project management and risk management, and a suite of new programmes in the music management, travel and tourism management, and sports and event management areas. Equally, UEL look to provide new and flexible ways of delivering their programmes, enabling students to gain valuable career-enhancing qualifications without disrupting busy work or family commitments.

UEL already offer an exciting range of programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In particular, they have over 20 years experience of delivering MBAs, and their MBA portfolio includes innovative programmes in areas such as international business and public services. UEL have particularly strong subject fields in finance, economics and accounting; project and risk management; strategy operations management and marketing; and human resources and organisational behaviour. Many of their programmes lead to exemptions from and accreditation with professional bodies.
UEL have a growing research profile, in areas highly relevant to modern business practice and the process of change in the workplace. In an age when management and organisations are continually evolving, UEL aim to find new ways of thinking and operating, bringing together themes such as leadership, management, operations, new technologies and training.
The School has a long tradition of delivering high-quality management training to major organisations such as Ford, Logica, local authorities and the NHS. UEL Business School offer particular expertise in small business, delivering programmes to new entrepreneurs and start-ups; public management; international business and management; and work and employment. Current projects with the local business community include Empower, an EU funded project to support Black and Asian women-owned businesses. Professor Kazem Chaharbaghi is their Director of Research.
